Slogans

A slogan may be filed as a trademark if the requirements for trademarks are met. For example, the slogan must be of sufficiently distinctive nature. Usually this means that the slogan must be short and clear.

In the Benelux a slogan can also be registered in the "Slagzinnenregister" (slogan register) at the 'Genootschap voor Reclame'.

A slogan can be protected by copyright.
