Erik Visscher has an engineering degree in physics from the Delft University of Technology and a degree in civil law (cum laude) from the University of Leiden. In addition, he obtained a P.hD. degree in semiconductor physics from the Delft University of Technology.

Erik worked for eight years as an examiner at the European Patent Office in the field of semiconductor technology and optoelectronics. Thereafter he worked for two years at the Dutch law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, where he has been closely involved in large multi-jurisdictional pharmaceutical and bio-tech patent cases. Erik is both attorney at law and European patent attorney and is mainly active in the field of physics, renewables, electronics and ICT.

Erik has broad experience in patent prosecution, patent litigation and licensing.
