About De Vries & Metman
De Vries & Metman is founded in 1995. The office is seated in Amsterdam and Arnhem and has nearly thirty employees, of which ten are a patent attorney and three are a patent attorney trainee. They advise and represent clients in the area of industrial property, in particular patents, trademarks and designs. Clients range from private inventors and SME's to multinational companies. Activities in the patent field include:
- conducting provisional searches to provide an overview of the prior art in various fields;
- advising on possible protection of innovations;
- drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications, in the Netherlands, before the European Patent Office and, through a network of local associates, anywhere in the world;
- supporting innovation processes in view of existing or potential patent rights of third parties;
- providing opinions on infringement and validity regarding patent rights of clients and third parties;
- cooperating with lawyers on technical issues in litigation;
- advising clients in relation to obtaining or granting licenses.
De Vries & Metman provides the opportunity for a single consult free of obligations and free of charge. This consult usually takes about half an hour and intends to provide information on the probabilities of protection for your invention, trademark or design.
